How the free 20-minute phone consultation works

2 min read

Your first step with Curious Minds is a conversation. There is no pressure and no obligation.

What the call is for

The first step is a free 20-minute phone consultation. It is a chance to ask questions and discuss whether an assessment is the right next step. No assessment happens on this call.

What we will confirm

We will confirm your pathway, price and appointment availability before you decide to go ahead.

Questions you might bring

  • Which of the six assessment pathways fits you or your child.
  • How many appointments the assessment involves, and how long each one lasts.
  • What the assessment costs and what the fee includes.
  • When appointments are available.
  • What you hope to use a report for. If that is healthcare, education or work, it helps to check the requirements with the relevant organisation first, and you are welcome to bring those questions to the call.

You do not have to decide on the call

You do not have to commit to an assessment before asking questions. You can start with the free consultation. A paid neurodiversity screening appointment is also available as a lower-commitment way to seek an experienced clinician’s initial view. Ask the team about the screening fee and what it involves.

When you are ready, you can arrange a free conversation. If you would like to read a little more first, our FAQs answer the questions we hear most often.
